Available Scheme categories

  • International Bursary and Graduate Employment

    3 years

    • Successful applicants from
    • Rift Valley countries of
    • operation will be awarded a
    • bursary of up to 80% of
    • costs to study overseas. In
    • turn, these students will be
    • required to serve a 3 year
    • contract with RVC on
    • completion of their studies.

The selection process

If you’ve decided that the Rift Valley Graduate Scheme is for you, the first step is to complete the application form If there are no suitable vacancies you can submit a speculative application which will be reviewed as soon as vacancies appear. In support of your application form, there are three further documents to submit:

 

Your CV,

  • A cover letter outlining your current situation and reasons for wishing to join the scheme, and
  • A more detailed summary of your education and work experience.
  • You may then be required to answer additional questions regarding your motivation to join the scheme.

We will then review your CV and application and if you match the skill-set we are looking for, we will invite you to the next stage. The full selection process includes ability tests, interviews and an assessment. Interviews will take place in Harare, London or Dar es Salaam. During the assessment, we’ll look at your skills and suitability through a period spent in the field, as we invite you to spend a few days on location at one of our operations or offices.The whole selection process is likely to take about three months from your initial application and you will receive regular updates on the progress of your individual application.
