In 2004, The Rift Valley Coffee Research Company was established on Kateshi Estate in Zambia. This is the only Private Research initiative in Africa, working to improve Pest and Disease control in Coffee. Maintains strong relationships with recognised research institutions worldwide, in particular with CIRAD (Centre de cooperation internationale en recherché agronomique pour le développement). Rift Valley Forestry (RVF) recently entered into a Research and Technical agreement with the University of Stellenbosch.
