Formed in 2004, Northern Tobacco was established to take advantage of Zimbabwe’s world-class growing conditions for flue-cured tobacco. Taking a holistic approach to contract farming, Northern Tobacco provides all large and small scale farmers with required inputs, working capital, agronomy guidance and marketing linkage. Northern Tobacco is Zimbabwe’s largest tobacco contracting business with over 6000 farmers across the country participating in our robust contract-farming practice.

Border Timbers, the largest kiln dried lumber in Zimbabwe is an established Zimbabwean forest company with three operational divisions -forestry, saw-milling and manufacturing – with 20 002 ha under plantation across five estates in Zimbabwe’s Eastern Highlands. Border Timbers is in the advanced process of applying for accreditation from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). FCS accreditation is considered the “gold standard” designation for wood harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious and economically viable. The company’s operations are aligned to the environmentally responsible and socially beneficial practices set out by FSC.
